Welcome from the faculty and staff of the Health Sciences Division. Fall is always busy but exciting as new students enter our health programs. This year, we celebrate many exciting new developments in our division. We have begun three initiatives that are the result of hard work over the past year. We are offering our Occupational Therapy Assisting program at the college's newest off-campus instructional site, Faulkner State Community College at Bay Minette, AL. Through another partnership, we are offering Pharmacy Technology and Radiology courses through distance technology and on-site instruction at Northwest Shoals Community College in Muscle Shoals, AL. Wallace State's Health Information Technology program has worked hard over the last year and has accepted the first group of students that will be able to complete all of their HIT courses online.

Adjunct faculty in the Health Science Division fill many critical roles. Some adjunct faculty share expertise in a specialized area of practice by teaching classes. Other adjunct faculty contribute extensive practice experience in providing students with "real life" lab experiences that prepare them to face challenges in the clinical setting. Other Health Division adjunct faculty work side by side with students as they apply what they have learned in class and lab during the clinical experience so necessary for successful learning. Regardless of where Health Science adjunct faculty are assigned, each one of you contributes so much to the student's learning and success. We appreciate your commitment and contribution.
