Allow me to extend a warm welcome to you as adjunct faculty at WSCC. We are delighted that you are part of our family. Our family is fairly large, with about 500 staff members and 5400 credit students each semester. Wallace State Community College is known for excellence and we carry that effort throughout our Student Services Division. We impact and supplement the student experience by providing services such as financial aid, admissions, ACTION Center advising or orientation classes, career services, information desk, testing, ADA services, tutoring through Learning Success Center, transitional learning, Student Support Services, student activities, recruiting, retention and athletics. Although fluid at all times, currently students have the opportunity to apply for an SGA Senator position, participation in the 2008 Miss Wallace State pageant, attend soccer or volleyball games, attend workshops on things such as self-defense or study skills, play intramural flag football, compete for All-Alabama slot as WSCC representative, become employed through career services, or sign up for second mini-term classes. Aside from these campus opportunities, we also incorporate service learning and make efforts to give back to our generous community. Students are the heartbeat of our campus and our division constantly strives to improve services, outreach and opportunities for them. We want to give Wallace State students every opportunity to learn, lead and grow. We are proud to have you here working with our students and encourage you to get involved in campus activities, ask questions if you need answers, and take the time to get to know all the students and staff you can. Welcome aboard!
