Educators of Excellence Master Teacher Series
Overview
The Educators of Excellence Master Teacher Series is a year-long process of gathering once a month to share great ideas for teaching and learning. Following the kick-off meeting in August, participants come together in a difference classroom each month to enjoy the company of their peers and trade best practices ideas. Each meeting is hosted by a Master Teacher facilitator, a graduate of the Alabama Master Teacher Seminar. This facilitator/hostess shares their classroom, project ideas, innovations, online course development, and more. Each meeting also features Technology Innovations, Minute Motivators, and Microteaching Experiences of one or more of the participants. The Master Teacher series also features a Christmas Party with the Educators of Learning-Centered Excellence (ELCE) to exchange GIFTS (Great Ideas for Teaching Students) and the Excellence EXPO, an open forum for sharing innovative ideas with the entire WSCC family. Finally, the year is capped off with a graduation party, celebrating the successes of the year.
